Maharashtra Government issue 3 different cards to different people so called Tricolour Ration Cards Scheme. Under it three types of cards- Yellow card, Saffron Ration Cards and White Ration Card have been allotted to the citizens.
Main Cities in Maharashtra offer Online Ration Card-
Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Thane, Pimpri and Chinchwad, Nashik, Kalyan and Dombivali, Vasai Virar, Aurangabad, Navi Mumbai, Solapur, Mira and Bhayander, Bhiwandi, Amravati, Nanded Waghala, Kolapur, Ulhasnagar, Sangli Miraj Kupwad, Malegaon and Jalgaon.
A. Yellow Ration Card-
Families earning total annual income upto Rs.15000/- are considered under yellow ration card. Along this some other conditions are also applied-
Any member of the family should not be a Doctor or lawyer or Chartered Accountant or Architect. None of the member should be a professionals tax payer, a sales tax payer, or income tax payer or eligible to it. Family should not have four wheeler vehicle and residential telephone and none of the member should hold 2 hectare rain fed or one hectare semi-irrigated or 1/2 hectare irrigated (double in drought prone talukas) land.
B. BPL Ration Card-
Government of Maharashtra has decided to allot the Below Poverty Line (BPL) Ration Card to the all Vidi workers, all members of the Pradhi & Kolhati Community, abandoned women and all non working cloth mills, cotton mills and sugar factories workers.
Families benificiated under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana are selected from the BPL families on following basis- Households by Widows, terminally ill persons, disabled persons and persons who have attained the age of 60 years or more and lacking the means of subsistence, tribal households, priority is also given to the HIV/AIDS affected persons.
C. Saffron Ration Card-
Families having total annual income exceeding 15000 but less than 1 lakh are covered under this scheme and are provided with the saffron coloured card. These families should not possess four hectare or more irrigated land and none of the members in the family should have four wheeler mechanical vehicle (except taxi- driver).
D. White Ration Card-
Families whose total annual income is equal to or exceeds Rs. 1 Lac and any member of the family possess the four wheeler mechanical or the family aggregate holding the irrigated land more than 4 hectare are issued with the White Ration Card.
