Ration Card is the document that is issued by the authority of state government as per the Public Distribution System. Government issue distinctive Ration Card to Above Poverty Line, Below Poverty Line, Antyodaya families. Blue coloured card is issued to the families living below poverty line. Ration Cards are made by the FSO/AFSO/Inspector Food & Supplies G-I.

Apply Ration Card Offline in Punjab –

  1. Any Citizen of the state can apply for the ration card online. He can request for the ration card related services in electric form through any Suwidha center.
  2. After receiving the request The authorized CSC/ Suwidha Operator will fill up the form with details provided by the applicant and supporting documents will be attached with it after scanning.
  3. Authorized CSC/ Suwidha Operator will take a photograph by web cam attached with his workstation and will attach it to the form.
  4. After checking the all details, applicants will sign the application form or will upload his thumb impressions.
  5. After that applicant is required to pay the fee amount in cash. Suwidha Operator will collect the specified amount of fee and will enter the details in the e-district application.
  6. The Authorised CSC/ Suwidha Operator will print the acknowledgement receipt generated by the e district application and after signing will give it to the Applicant.
  7. This acknowledgement number will be used for any future service request.

Apply Ration Card Online in Punjab –

Procedure for the online submission of the application is as –

  1. Firstly Citizen has to register himself on the e-district application if he is applying for the first time. After successful registration applicant will be given a ID & Password.
  2. With the help of this ID- Password, he have to login into the e-district application.
  3. Then he need to open the ration card related services application and fill the required details into it.
  4. After the filling up of form, supporting documents will be scanned and attached with it.
  5. Applicable fee for the application will be accepted through online method.
  6. Applicant will be given a acknowledgement receipt and he should take print out of that.
  7. Applicant is required to send the copy of supporting documents to the concerned offices by post.

# 3 No. Family Group photos
# Registry Copy
# 2 Neighbors’ Ration Card photo copies.
# If applicant has old ration card, then there is need of Deletion Certificate.
# In case of rental, Owner’s declaration and owner’s ration card copy with attestation.
# Children Birth Proof like Birth Certificate
# In Case of ration Card issue in favour of Female applicant, below mentioned document(which one applicable to applicant) is necessary:-
In Case of death of husband/father, Death Certificate of concerned person.
In case of divorce, Copy of Divorce Degree
In case of husband is in Army, Husband’s service ID Card.
# Self Declaration of the applicant.

Issuance of Surrender Certificate-

Issuance of Ration Card BPL Antyodaya-

It is necessary to submit family Photo, Declaration Letter, D1 Application Form, Residence Proof or submit the surrender certificate of previous Ration Card/FPS report from depot.

Issuance of BPL/ Antodaya Ration Card-

For issuance of BPL/ Antyodaya Ration Cards, a BPL survey list is prepared by deputy commissioner office and upload it e-district application and after that it is send to the AFSO and DFSC. Food inspector visits every beneficiary door to door and fill the D-1 form on e-district application with the data and information collected from the beneficiary. After receiving the service requests, AFSO will examine the complete details of the forms and as per his satisfaction regarding details he will give his approval or rejection.

Issuance of the Surrender Certificate-

As service request regarding issuance of surrender certificate is received at the e-district, application is forwarded to the AFSO. AFSO will examines the complete application details after receiving the service request in his account. If he founds documents are not sufficient , then he sent back the service request to the Suwidha fo completion of document and he is satisfied then give his approval using digital signature.

Delivery Of Ration Card-

E-district cell receives the ration card from the food and supplies office. Appliacnt can collect the ration card and surrender certificate from the respective Siddhartha Center after showing acknowledgement slip to them but in case of BPL/ Antyodaya ration card, Food Inspector personally delivers the ration card to the beneficiary’s address.

Required Time period for the issuance of the Ration Card (APL)/ Duplicate Ration Card (APL/BPL/Antyodaya/ Modification in Ration Card)-

  1. For Filling of application request, Generation of acknowledgement receipt and Marking of application request to AFSO- 1 day will be taken.
  2. For Receipt of application by AFSO & Marking to Food Inspector – 1 day will be required
  3. Receipt & Check by Food Inspector, Physical Verification by Food Inspector and Verification Report updation by Food Inspector- It will consume 3 days.
  4. Approval/ Rejection by AFSO- 1 day will be charged for this.
  5. Preparation of Ration card by Food Inspector and dispatch to e-district cell will require 1 day.
  6. E- district cell delivers the ration card to applicant – 1 day.

Ration Card Status Check in Punjab-

Status can be tracked online through the Suwidha- Web also –

Enter the Reference number, select the year. Click on the search option. List of Beneficiary’s in the Punjab can be seen on the same page.  Firstly open the link. Select the district name, Block, village and FPS from drop down list. Click on the “View Report”.

Status of any application can be tracked at the official website of the government of the Punjab. You have to Enter the application number in the “Status Tracker “box on the right side of the page and click on the “Go” option.
